Frank Ramsey (1903-1930)

Frank Ramsey was a lecturer in mathematics who invented the area of mathematics called Ramsey theory. He also contributed to philosophy, economics, probability, and decision theory (originally conceived by Bernoulli). The Ramsey theory states that any large enough structure has to contain an orderly substructure with implicit patterns. Therefore, every large set of numbers or objects contains a highly regular pattern. For indepth biographical information on Ramsey go to--
